I was the in-house web developer for de Poel Consulting and created the company website from a design brief given to me by the marketing department. The site needed to be kept up to date with the latest case studies, company news and press releases. Google Analytics was used for statistical analysis of the site by the marketing department.
My role at ReviewCentre.com was to help design and develop one of the leading consumer review sites on the Internet. I worked with the development teams to develop backend administration tools and designed new online advertising banners and banner rotation scripts using PHP to maximise our pay per click revenue and promote our affiliate marketing schemes. I designed the parent company website and stationary and was also in charge of moderating the user community forums and reviews on reviewcentre.com.
I was approached by the owner of the company to create a brochure website to complement the existing hard copy literature that they had. The site was developed in xhtml and css and the aim was to create a clean professional website which I believe was accomplished.
I was employed by toybugs.com to help start a new online business. After consultation with the client to gather requirements, the site was developed using an off the shelf package to keep costs low. After the site was launched I acted as webmaster. I was responsible for updating the site with new products and also generating high resolution images to be used in national newspapers.
Sitecare Recruitment is a specialist recruitment agency and they approached me to add and expand functionality to their existing website. They needed the facility where candidates could register their details and upload copies of their CV as well as being able to search for current vacancies.
I worked on Discover Holidays during my time at Review Centre. The sites aim was to become the first place to go when consumers are looking for reviews on holiday destination and hotels. I was involved in the design of the site which took its influence from the very successful reviewcentre.com
